Hi, I recently picked up a Parker Bros. side by side 10 gauge and I'm looking for some more info on it. I'll be looking to sell it however even after some research I'm still not sure about a few things with it. I was told it was purchased new and kept in the same family all it's life. Upon looking up the serial number it was manufactured in 1900. What I can't find however is the model. Condition is not great as pictures show (hardware through the wrist in 2 spots, cracked butt plate, cracks throughout the wood, bluing gone, lockup not very tight, etc.). Any information would be appreciated on this one including what a fair value is on it. I can take more specific pictures if need be.

Thanks in advance,
Adam

Please post photos on any stamps or markings on the barrels and the action. I'm not enough of a Parker fan to identify from the engraving alone. What i can tell you is it's a lower grade.

Also, lets see some close ups of the wrist of the gun. Lets look closer at those pins through the wood and the repaired cracks to consider condition? Condition of bores??? Dents in the barrels??

Here are a few more pictures. I didn’t see any other markings on it other than matching serial numbers on the barrels, forestock, and stock. And “Parker Bros” on both sides of the receiver which are both pretty dim now. The bores are in good shape, no pitting or corrosion. The worst crack is visible in the one picture I’m posting below. No dents or bulges in the barrels. The only other thing I did notice is that the release lever does not spring back properly, it needs to be manually pushed back and locked into place to lock the barrels back up.

Looks like damascus barrels. Trigger guard and bottom plate have been off at some point and screws not reset properly. Also, chambers probably 2 7/8" but should be measured if not stamped on the underside of the barrels.
Agree with $200 - maybe a bit more. Sounds also like it needs a lever return spring. Great project gun for a handyman to clean up and re-stock for black powder loads if the barrels are indeed sound.

Looks like a P grade likely built on a number 3 frame . What it would cost to bring the gun back to life is cost prohibitive. Hang it on a wall and you can say you have a Parker 10 ha your showing all the wrong photos it doesn’t matter about the wood that goes in the dumpster show the flats on the reciever and the under side of the bbl’s at the chamber end that will tell everything about the gun . Also what is written on the rib on the bbl’s

Did you mean 2 9/16"?

IMO, a lot of guys are being gentlemen of discretion in this thread. Almost all Parkers are better candidates for restoration than this example. I agree, she's a wallhanger, but I'd be shocked if anyone actually paid more than $100 for it.

It's a low grade beat up, badly repaired junker of a gun. And that's just from pics. Sorry OP but that's the truth. I've restored to new a number of guns and I would not go near that thing. $100 wall hanger.
