Tikka LA Mod

Has anyone here done this? I’m hoping to do a LA mod to my 7mm-08 lite stainless with a machined replaceable bolt stop, not the grinding or cutting technique some have done.

Has anyone tackled this themselves? Should I enlist the help of a gunsmith?

It’s a pretty straight forward process once the stock is removed. Carefully pull the pivot pin holding the catch while keeping a thumb over the catch. There’s a retention spring behind the catch you’re removing you don’t want to lose. Installation is just the same steps in reverse.

Can you use an Atlasworxs DBM long action bottom metal the long action bolt stop then use the 3.715 Aics 30-06 magazines to load 6.5 CM or .308?
I havn't started loading yet so I don't know my Oal also I have a CTR so I know this wouldn't work for me but if that's doable seems the varmint or even a lite may have been a better rout.
