Evening gang,

Posting here as I've emailed the ORA via their website to see about getting into a slot for an intro day to F class in the spring but have not heard back (emailed a few weeks ago). I've taken their winter training program a few years ago but wasn't able to make the last session at the range in Borden due to work commitments at the time. I dropped an email to Bob Raymond via the ORA website but haven't heard back just yet. Bob taught our winter course and it looks like he's still involved according to the ORA website.

If anyone knows of another point of contact to reach out to I'd greatly appreciate any insights you can offer.

I have been running the Intro Day for the last few months.

If you have a scoped rifle, there are lots of opportunities to shoot at Camp Borden.

Join the ORA in April (membership is April to April)

Bring your rifle to a Practice Day. There are Practice Days alongside the Swiss Club shoot days. They stay at 300 yards all day. if you come out on a Swiss day you can put up a 300 yard target and shoot along side them. If you bring a marker, you can have a private target. if you don't buddy up with another guy and take turns marking for each other.

The Target Rifle and F Class shooters also have their own Practice days at a variety of distances from 400 to 1000 yards. The website calendar will show the dates and distances.

No need to come to another Intro day.

Hey there,

Thanks for the reply yes I am fairly well equipped and shoot regularly at Twin City in Kitchener and get to bribe Gord O. from time to time when he's out at the range for wind tips and reloading tips. I've not been to an actual intro day on a range with ORA previously but have shot at Borden when the uniform still fit me properly a number of years and cheeseburgers ago ;-) So if needed I'm happy to do an intro day.

Will do the ORA sign up in April as advised.

I am also looking forward to going to an intro day.
Please post when you know the schedule
Thank you

You can send me a pm to say you want to come to an Intro Day. This is a morning in the classroom to learn things you never heard before and then an afternoon on the 300 yard range. We supply the rifles and ammo.

I need your name and email address.
