OK fine I'll get a 300 win mag...

I can reload my 300WM to 30-30, 30.06, 308 winchester, 303 British and probably a few more. Thus making it a very versatile caliber.

Plus 300 wbymag. I never new a 308 bullet could be reloaded into so many different calibers.

Congrats on the new purchase Rob!

I finally got too shoot it today, and I'd say the Benelli gas system does eat up a fair amount of recoil to ease. I was truly surprised at how manageable it was. :D

One problem...after my fiance finished sending 5 rounds into the head of the steel ram at 200 yards with one of my SKSs she asked to try the 300 mag, and 3 shots on the ram later she said "I like this rifle".

Man I am so broke if I have to buy another Benelli. :D

I also managed a respectable group at 200 yards with it, and had to go down range twice to reset the ram after I sent it off it's wire hangers. :p

What a nice cartridge. :)

Yep..throw a Red dot or keep that 6-18x 50MM on Her and you'll have one fine Looking Rifle.......:ninja:

Congrats !!! :onCrack:

Can someone please raise their hand and tell me which ones are 30 calibers?

Ok, Im sorry if I wasnt politically correct about the caliber/cartridge.:runaway:

Tod if you know so much then list what a .308 diameter bullet can be reloaded to?

:sucks::ninja:

All I can say is that it takes a man with a massive ##### to shoot a magnum, knowing all the while that it makes him look like he's compensating for something, hehe.

And, I think it also says something about those who brag about how much they can get done with a teeny-tiny little cartridge :p

Yeah he needs the third leg to hold himself up from the recoil.. lol.. Careful u dont step on it...would look more like a liver fluke than a #####..

Adding to that...Methinks the 30/30 94 Winchester was the original "assault rifle". :D

It still is pretty good. Just ask 'Jim' at Pullens... ;)

And going back to my crack about the .30-06... with Hornady light magnum ammo it still is a close one to the venerable .300 Win Mag...

:D And as Jim would say..."the deer won't notice a few extra feet per second". :D

I just bought a Browning BAR in .300 WinMag...I had to...I sold the Ruger 77 I had chambered in .300WM last year, and I still had some loaded ammunition. I'm NOT kidding...this is actually the justification I used to convince myself to buy this rifle. :D

Picking up a gun because you already have ammo for it seems reasonable enough. Know of a guy that saw Wal-Mart was discounting all it's .270 ammo big-time, so bought the whole lot. Trouble was he had to go out & get a rifle in .270 to shoot it...
