I posted this over in milsurps but it occurs to me it might belong here

I see where this Saturday's Switzer auction has one of the Inglis diamond marked Hi Powers listed..... pretty rare gun. The online pre auction bidding was just over $3700 last i looked.

I’ve seen it when officially listed. Named «#Inglis#Diamond#» these were the last ~60 made in the last 4 days of production in late September 1945. These were gifts for important people to the company, war effort and politicians. Only ~20 or so are still around today.

Mine looked like this:

Those are not the correct grips. I did not shoot it with the original grips.

I see your Inglis is the same serial number as the gun Switzers is auctioning. Are you selling or did you sell in the past and it is being resold?

A few yrs ago, I held one , in the white from a estate of a collector, one I should have bought, Oh well, we all do stupid stuff. BTW serial was one #

It just sold for $6250 plus auction fees (15%), taxes and shipping.

So anywhere between $7600 and $8300 plus shipping depending on tax bracket.

Did you sell it for near that Ganderite?

I sold it for a price I was comfortable with at the time; and am still comfortable with, seeing what it just sold for.

I am sure it has gone to a good home.

When I got it, it was new, wrapped in the original wax paper.

I see some real strong prices there, on good stuff, poor , average , is still so-so.
Good 22 pistols seem to be a bit off.
Milt stuff is strong, but that is not my forte any more.
