Trigger boxes with pin holes out of spec, safety holes bored out of spec. Removal of material to allow proper spring travel. Plenty of issues with the trigger box.
 
New SLR build

Trying to build my first rifle and have some questions on components. Searched through the forum but couldn't find what I was looking for. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Will Hiperfire triggers work in the SLR? Has anyone tried them?

Also looking at Bravo Company (BCM) bolt carrier group. Will these fit in the receiver?

I have read a lot of mixed reviews of this receiver but I'm hoping that the newest batch coming out will have these issues rectified.

Not sure about drop in triggers, I had a BCM enhanced trigger in mine and just replaced it with a geissele hsnm trigger. Both worked well.

Edit: I dont remember where I read about drop in triggers for the MDI but it wasnt recomended. I could be wrong. Wish I had a better answer for you.

When I had mine, one of the earliest available, Hiperfire triggers would not fit unless you modified the trigger box and the safety.
I was told they would be selling trigger boxes on their own so I cut mine up to make it fit.
Once I milled out the top and front of the trigger box as well as one side of the safety, to be able to install the safety it was fine. Part of the trouble with the trigger box is the ability to get the safety in after the trigger and box is in.
I ended up selling mine with full disclosure with the trigger.
I am not sure if the trigger box has been changed or is available separately.

Looks like I should just go with a Geissele trigger. Seems like that's what most people have had the best results with.
