Got a call from a farmer friend, and the coyotes took down one of his calves. Took me a few days to get over but this morning right in the pasture behind the barn 2 minutes of a Distressed Calf and it was all over.

Even with good cows the sneaky bastards can often grab one that's gotten separated. Good shootin ! Like rats, where you see one there is likely 6 so keep on rockin !

Or there's enough coyotes to circle the cow/calf pair and taunt her into chasing them around until she's too exhausted to do anything. There's a reason coyotes are called wiley.

That is awesome, I hope one day I am able to help out farmers like you.

If you have a chance you could you post your pic in the thread below with a description of your firearm. Ty. AJH.

I've seen them chasing deer and take down small ones. Elk just ignore them, coyotes frequently mingle among them, catching mice the Elk disturb.

Here we have those coy dog coyotes with the wolf blood in them and are are much bigger than western coyotes and unfortunately a deer is a joke to them. They didnot take moose initially but do now. Here sadly they even killed a lady in 2009 :(
Take care
