Hello all,
I want to start reloading for my Savage 10FP in .308 Winchester. I have no experience with reloading bottle necked cartridges. Whats a good starter setup that will give me accurate output but not break the bank?
Thanks

ps. I have saved all my factory brass.

I have seen the RCBS link above given out many times. Just a thought that it might be an idea to Sticky it for the new loaders.

Have you loaded anything before? If not, look into an RCBS Beginner's Kit. Gives you everything you'll need less dies and shell holder.
The .308 loves 165 grain hunting bullets or 168 and 175 grain match bullets, regular large rifle primers and IMR4064.

Sunray,
Thanks for the info. I have loaded 9mm and 45ACP pistol rounds on a friends Dillon Square Deal press but never bottle necked rifle cartridges. Many people have sung the praises of the RCBS system. I will definitely check them out.

When working up a rifle load, especially if you opt for match bullets, weighing each load is better than using a powder thrower. Starting with hunting bullets is likely a better idea than match bullets. Match bullets are expensive.
The biggest advantage of the RCBS equipment is their legendary customer service. If anything breaks or gets damaged, they'll fix it, no questions asked other than where to send the part. They don't care if you bought the stuff used or if you caused the damage either. The 'Reloading Guide' page is good. It has pictures.
All the dies(both of 'em. There's usually just two for rifle) are set up the same way. The bottom of the die should just kiss the shell holder with th eram all the way up, then lock it. For the seating die, do that part, then adjust, by trial and error, the seating plug for bullet seating depth until you get the OAL you want(use the length given in your manual). It's easier to do than explain.
