Will check it out- thanks, It is not my rifle, I am helping out a friend, I think if it were mine I would buy something else- what is the best handguard to get? The Maple ridge ones look nice?

I've got 3 of the MRA hand guards on my uppers. I think they look pretty slick, match the angles of the uppers very well, and Canadian made.
 
Has anyone put an Elcan Spectre DR 1.5-6X on one of these? I’ve read some of the reviews on the optic in other forums, and have seen they don’t lockup tight on some guns, and the arms levers aren’t adjustable I guess. Just want to confirm the rail on these receivers are in spec and the Elcan will lockup before I buy one
 
Pardon the rookie question but will any AR15 barrel fit on a ATRS upper? The reason I ask (for a friend) is that he had heard the pin on the barrel for typical AR15 is facing up but on the ATRS the pin is facing down?
 
I know myself and a few others were asking about hand guards that fit a 0.936 gas block. I ended up going with an Odin Works RAGNA 17.5" hand guard along with an IBI 19" R/S profile barrel with the low profile 0.936" Gas Block. As I don't have my upper and lower yet (run 3) I can't be 100%. However when I put the hand guard over top the barrel and it appears to be horizontal inside, there is a decent amount of clearance around the gas block still. The hand guard is supposed to have a 1.35" ID.

What’s the total height of your GB? What brand is it?

All the GBs I’ve looked at , measures 1.46 total height.
I thought you would need a hand guard with an inside diameter ,a little more than 1.36
 
I measured it and it is 1.46 pretty much. It's not adjustable so it is symmetrical and there is no oblong protrusion on one side to hit the guard. I had been trying to do some research on guards that fit and came across a video on you tube where a fellow used this guard with a 0.936" block with no touching so figured I'd try it. On plus is 17.5" which I wanted a guard to go near barrel length and cover the GB.
