Browning Citori Hunter appraisal

Here is my take on this one
I think the gun was used for sure with the few wood marks shown but not for one second do I think it was not taken care of or ever abused
I love those hard cases and own a few but also know they have been the kiss of death to any shotgun stored on them for any length of time
I don't know why but by far they are the worst I have even seen to help a gun rust up when stored in them. That fuzzy liner is a killer

IMO I think this gun was used , properly cleaned and put away in the case where it sat for more than likely years to be opened to sadly find the rust and pitting we see
I have just seen too many in this exact state after sitting in those dam cases to think differently
Will it effect how it works NOPE and is still a good gun if pretty doesn't matter to you

Case storage was the only error made IMO

That is why I asked the op if it was stored in that case for a long period of time but he didnot respond
Cheers

I totally agree, and I've seen guns horribly rusted after sitting in a soft gun case for some time as well, you just cannot store guns in those things no matter how well oiled they are!

Yes even under a bed or in a closet where the temperature and moisture one would think would not be an issue
But man it kills them
Cheers
