Dealers of custom 45 cal 1911s in Canada?

Are there dealers for custom or higher end 45s like Les Baer or Ed Brown in Canada? How can you buy pistols like this here? Those manufacturers will only ship to a licensed dealer.

Does anyone have one of these two brands of pistol (which ones) and did they like them?

Good tip. I checked out the Dlask web page. Nice to have a Canadian custom handgun manufacturer. Have you ever used one of their pistols? I have never seen one, or seen one used.

At least those American 45s get reviewed (if that can be trusted)...

You could try Mark at Questar, I'm sure he can get you exactly what you want - but you won't get a noticeably better performing or feeling pistol than you'll get from Dlask, or from any other skilled 'smith (Gunnar at Armco and Barry Jensen come to mind). They only perform to a certain level, after that it's all brand consciousness and bling.

That said, I'd personally donate organs to get an Ed Brown :D

Ronin Sports is the Canadian importer for Les Baer. P & D Enterprises imports Wilson Combat. Ed Brown and Nighthawk have no official importers as far as I know.

never used a Dlask pistol, found out about them through the link prp posted, need a new 1911 and a dlask one is one of the three im deciding between

forgot about armco:redface:also hear lots of good things about him

I contacted Ed Brown, and you are right--they don't have a Canadian dealer (any gun shops feel like taking them on.....?)

+1 for P&D - picked up a Wilson Combat Protector from them.
Very satisfied.
The original plan was EB- but due to their lack of cooperation (to customize) and no dealer/distributor in Canada - chose Wilson instead - with no regrets!
 
If you contact Nighthawk firearms they are now saying that their distributor in Canada is Target Sports Center, and that they are currently processing an order for them.
