P226

SRT kit, pretty easy to install. Beyond that, sights like the Trijicon HD or Sig X-ray, or some nice grips like E2 or Hogue G10.

I lightened up the hammer spring on my last P226 aswell, made for a sweet shooter.

I have the cheap Norinco NP22 with an srt trigger kit and hogue grips. Its a good little gun and I'm told the feel is pretty much the same as an actual sig 226.

All my Sigs get the same treatment...
SRT if its didn't come with one, Armoury Craft for triggers, hammers and spring kits, Hogue G10 grips and hex screws, lastly I change out the guide rod to a solid steel one, though honestly it makes no difference to the way the gun shoots it's just personal preference.

What's the difference of the solid steel guide rod?

It supposedly adds a bit more weight to the front of the pistol but I can never feel a difference with the all metal pistols I prefer.
I just like a solid guide rod because it looks nicer and just feels more quality than the MIM ones that come from the factory.

I like the SRT and the E2 grip has a nice feel but it puts my thumb on the slide release. That has pretty much turned into a deal breaker for me. I would love a 226 mod 1 type thing with the decocker and slide release switched a la usp style

How did you lighten up the spring? Replacement or smith? I have a 226 with srt kit.
