Hope that got your attention! LOL!! Yep, it's true,I've come over to the dark side(cgn) to test the waters. Been a member of the ALR for two years or more and love those guys like brothers.Hope this site works out as well.:runaway:A couple of questions:
1) Is this a traditional type site?
2)Flinters only?
3) Do we have to chat with the inline crowd or do we have to convert them?

Just bought a rifle gun off the ALR site yesterday. It's a "Bean" Tennesie(sp) Mtn. rifling gun in .40 cal. This will give me a chance at taking a "Squirrel" or two at Heffley next year.

This rifle was built by a fellow called Packdog(Ken). Rice round bottom groove,Flame maple stock, Siler lock,all iron furniture.Love that tricker guard.Better pix to come.Thanx,Roy
 
BTW,
The only peeve I have with this gun is that the sights look a little tall. My preference is squater(zat a word?) primitive sights,but what the hay? I think I got a good deal on it,16 hun? I get a lotta razz from Cody T. for shooting a Penn Fowler exclusively. This L.Bean should be a tack driver at the range.(haven't received it yet,in transit as I speak) Watch out Mr.T!!! This rifling gun has two(2) sights! How can ya miss!

If you want to build a fowler from a kit,Jim Chambers is where to go.Best parts set you can get. If you want a "Trashy Tradegun",LOL, I like Centermark. I owned a Fusil Fin, chiefs grade and it shot excellent. It's an old company recently bought out by Paul Siebert and he is very very good to deal with. He may have his french Trade guns in kit form also. Cheers
