Good afternoon

I need to reclassify my finished build but have a couple of ?'s I need answered.

I'm hearing so many different confusing things.

Should I reclassify my lower with as many calibers that I can?

Should I reclassify my lower with all barrel lengths possible?

Is there any barrel length that I should not reclassify with?

Thanks

Your thinking is backwards.

You can only have one barrel length and calibre associated with it at any given time. You only have to call if you've made a permanent modification in the last 30 days.

If I were you, I'd keep my lower registered as a lower only and keep it locked/disabled and separated from all uppers except when I am at the range. If you re-register as a completed firearm you'll have to turn in the whole thing if there's a confiscation, if you only register as a lower you only have to turn in a single piece of steel/aluminum/plastic.

"Hello, I would like to re-register my Frame Only AR15 to a complete rifle. What barrel length and cartridge? Well, I have uppers in .22LR, .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, 7.62x39, 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, .224 Valkyrie, .458 SOCOM, .50 Beowulf, .50 BMG, and .410 Shotgun with lengths of 4.5", 7.5", 10", 10.5", 11", 12", 14", 15.7", 16", 18", 20", 22", 24" and the .50 BMG is 32". Which one do you want?"

"Which one do I use the most? I grab a handful of uppers each range trip and use them all equally."

"Multi caliber with multi-barrel length? Sounds great, thanks, have a nice day!"

This is exactly what I was talking about total confusion.

If I build multiple uppers how am I allowed to attach them to my lower and shoot them if the barrel length and caliber is not known by the RCMP?

This is what I have heard from other shooters

One person told me that they finished their build and they have it reclassified it with multiple calibers and multiple barrel lengths for one lower.

Another person told me anything under under 16" is prohib.

Is there anything written anywhere for complete clarification

Thanks

Whoever told you it’s prohib is an idiot, so there’s that.

Written clarification? Are you mad? No such thing exists. The laws were written by the most incompetent people imaginable, and even those dim-witted souls don’t know what half of it means.

I would suggest reading the Firearms act (Firearms registration regulations)

This is probably the section to read. I'm not a lawyer so its up to you to determine how you interpret the regulations
Conditions
4 (1) Subject to section 5, the Registrar shall attach to a registration certificate that is issued in respect of a firearm the condition that the holder of the certificate shall advise the Registrar, within 30 days after the modification, of

(a) any modification to the firearm that results in a change of class of the firearm;

(b) in the case of a firearm registered as a frame or receiver only, any modification that makes it capable of discharging ammunition;

(c) any modification to an altered automatic firearm; and

(d) any modification that results in the firearm ceasing to be a firearm.

(2) Subject to section 5, the Registrar shall attach to a registration certificate that is issued in respect of a firearm the condition that when the type, action, calibre or gauge of the firearm is modified, the holder of the certificate shall advise the Registrar of the modification,

(a) if the modification is intended to be permanent, within 30 days after the modification; and

(b) if the modification is not intended to be permanent but still exists 30 days after it is made, without delay after that period.

I think this is would be a more relveant section of the law quoted by you:

(2) Subject to section 5, the Registrar shall attach to a registration certificate that is issued in respect of a firearm the condition that when the type, action, calibre or gauge of the firearm is modified, the holder of the certificate shall advise the Registrar of the modification,

(a) if the modification is intended to be permanent, within 30 days after the modification; and

(b) if the modification is not intended to be permanent but still exists 30 days after it is made, without delay after that period.

If OP really intends to have a bunch of different uppers and use them all on a regular basis, it be hard to argue that any given upper is the permanent one required to modify the registration.
