Looking to fireform from 6br to 6dasher with brand new Lapua brass, my question is do I need to neck turn? Since the neck will be shorter, I don't see any reason neck turning.

I shoot the Dasher.
1. you do not normally neck turn the brass. Fire form the brass.
2. If you do not know the neck diameter of chamber, use the fire formed brass and load a bullet into an Empty brass and try chambering the shell,
if it chambers without leaving any sever marks on the neck you're good to go.
3. I have not heard of anyone having to or wanting to turn necks for the DASHER.

I run a tight 0.269 neck on my Dasher chamber amd must neck turn. I get away with fire forming without turning first but my Lapua brass is neck turned after. Lots of different opinions out there about the benefits to neck turning if your interest in doing it.
