- It's all nice and fun as long as they are current production, after that, it's anybody's guess.
Thank for me (and my wallet), there's no dealer anywhere nearby. So that's another excuse to ignore it

I have owned a RWS 500S (Daystate Air Ranger) in .22 for about 18 years now. Probably my best air rifle, certainly has capacity with it being limited to 12ft/l

Daystate have a reputation that has been earned by serious field target shooters over the past 20+ years. They are simply excellent in every respect, from design to manufacturing.
I have a number of air rifles, from FX to Falcon and Theoben, but the Daystate is probably the best built. Not my first choice for hunting as it is a lump to drag around, but an excellent hide / farm yard gun.

Not sure. It does come with a single shot tray. I have definitely been thinking about the .177cal slugs. They do have a HP version of the .177 and it shoots slugs very well. I've been thinking about swaging my own slugs, but will wait and see what the prices look like for store bought once they become more common. JSB has some coming out in .22cal soon and possibly .177 in a few months? My rifle should be shooting the 10.34gr JSB pellets at 900fps on high power which isn't enough for slugs. It has a traditionally rifles LW barrel. The HP versions of these rifled have the new polygonal rifled LW barrel. Might get a .22cal version down the road. The HP are rated for 50fpe and the Safari version is 65fpe in .22cal.

Initial report is that the rifle is very nice. I have it more or less zeroed for 30 yards. Averaging 905fps with the 10.34gr JSB pellets. For 10 shots (high power) I had a high of 912fps, low of 898fps, spread 14.0 and STD of 4.5 from a FX chronograph. The rifle is very quiet and the trigger is really different. Not really into it right now, but people say you need to get used to it. I don't have a gauge but I'm guessing the second stage is somewhere between 3-6 ounces. Once I get it checked I'll post what it is. I'll do some shot strings on medium and low power soon and post what I get it done (hopefully this weekend). One thing I've really notice is that .177cal pellets are very small to handle. The rifle comes with a 5 year warranty which is very nice. All in all, from my few days of ownership, it's a very nice rifle. I do prefer the walnut wood grain on my TX200, but that a very small thing and definitely not a deal breaker by any means. If they had a grey laminate stock available I would consider one of those, it's about the only color of laminate that I like.
I was thinking of getting an Anschutz (UIT) rail installed for a picatinny mount, but the stock looks a little thin on the forend. I didn't want to screw anything external to the stock so I bought a Saber Tactical bottle adapter. Works well, but not the most aesthetically pleasing. It does put the bipod out further which will help on the bench.

On first look, it does seem kind of weird... But eh! If it work, it's all that matter.
On AirgunNation, there was a guy who made a temporary-slip-on bipod adapter using a bicycle water bottle cage. I thought it was pretty clever.

Thought I would try it out tonight on Low power to see how many shots I could get out of 1 fill. I filled it to 226 bar (230 max) and shot 430 pellets until the low pressure warning came on at 100 bar. I continued to 450 shots and it was sitting at 94 bar. I'm totally impressed and glad I bought this rifle. I'll do a High power shot string in a week or so and post the results.
I have cycled through several of the top end brands of airguns over the past few years including, BAM, Weirach, Air Arms (several), FX (several), Kalibrgun, and Daystate.
I have really enjoyed and still have a couple of the AA guns but the pinnacle of performance has been the Daystate Airwolf. Yes,it takes some getting used to the trigger and electronics but once you are familiar with it....I can’t see going back as an option.
These Daystate guns are simply next level. Can’t wait to see and shoot the delta wolf.
