I will certainly miss Tapco. If another company doesnt offer 20rnd polymer mags, i may be forced to modify my SKS to accept AK/type 81 mags.

Yeah... but those god awful factory fixed mag might save SKS from being restricted or prohibited.

I bought an OD Green TAPCO from SFRC around Boxing Day. The stock has the rail which was hard to find in OD, so it’s double rare! How does $1500 sound?

No. But 30 rnd mag pinned to 5 rounds is like Lada with plastic crap to look like Ferrari.
More like a Ferrari with a governor. A pinned 30 rnd AK mag is still an AK mag. Not some imitation.
This is an argument of pinned 10 round fixed mag VS pinned 30rnd detachable mag.... they are both pinned so cancel that out and it becomes Fixed VS detachable.
Sad to see, as they brought some useful stuff to the market, but like all companies that get bought up by large corporations, development stalled out because the original creative force behind it was never really replaced by the mother corp (Remington).
Lots of bad-mouthing here, but in all honesty: if you don't like it, don't buy it! Aftermarket stocks don't alter the rifle permanently in any way, and offer something the original couldn't, like a more comfortable grip with an adjustable length of pull, and detachable mags.

This in a nutshell, I’m not a fan of tricked out sks’s but have at er if you are. The only aftermarket sks stock I liked was the dragunov one, I would probably have to buy one if I come across it at a shop or gun show for a reasonable price.
