Short range thumper suggestions.

That seems very fitting. ;)

Lmao....

Seriously though, an entry level rifle that would offer a time honored chambering as well as a dangerous game offering isn't necessarily a bad thing..... It may encourage new hunters to spread their wings a bit.....

When the American starts showing up in Africa for pH testing, there may be an issue.... Lol

Nice Rifle ! BUT that FUGLY ### recoil pad has to GO ! Chuck ! i ask you ? where is your Class ? :p RJ

Might as well shoot the American .358, it is neither rare nor of much value... but a good little hunting rifle.

I would really love to find an Ruger M77, preferably a tang safety one, in 358.....but they are pretty scarce round these parts and haven't seen one on line yet for sale, or at least for a price I would consider close to fair....hence the American.

I know where there is one and the price is fair... but the last time it was offered, the guy gagged at the price... and that is because not many people have the knowledge to understand this piece's (rarity vs value)... I do because I collect Ruger rifles... note that I do not own it, but I did, so I am very familiar with the rifle and know that it could potentially be on the market... if you are interested, send me a PM and I will share some details.

Appreciate it, but it's not for sale and not something I should have considered parting with in the first place (then things we do for our kids)... I should get a pic of it and find a hosting service to add it to the thread at some point though....

Actually glad to hear that... I posted my Ruger M77 Mark II .358 Carbines back on post #22 page 1.

But your rifle is the third rifle down in the picture below;
