Silencer cleaning products

Germans are only starting with silencers/moderators/suppressors and have very little long term experience with them. Generally they talk a lot of ####e when it comes to them and know everything better as usual. As if a microscopic layer of snake oil will defend against the brunt of hot gasses filled with particle at high speed. What will guaranteed kill your suppressor is trying to take it apart all the time. Just shoot, maybe run a test tube brush with thin oil through after shooting and don't leave it on the rifle when storing, not more.

This is relevant in Canada how ??

I understand you are not allowed to use suppressors for hunting or? Is there an outlook that the ban will be lifted at some stage? I know even German hunters for example were totally against James Bond type suppressors on rifles as well as it being illegal. In the meantime it all changed and the suppressor is a must have at least with the younger shooters in Germany. UK and Ireland possibly at 90% with suppressors.

Dude, our Laws are mostly made by people who learned about guns and other weapons technology, while spending too much time watching Hollywood special effects, thinking it was real, at the movies.

It boils down to "guns are bad", "Only bad people want silencers" and "nobody needs..."

There ARE ways to become involved in the business, and there are a couple well respected silencer manufacturers here in Canada, but a regular citizen is not like to see being able to own one any time real soon.
