Edgun Leshiy 2 ?

I don't think any of the Edgun products are available in Canada. They make some nice PCPs.

I was in contact with AirgunSource a few months ago about the FX Dreamline Tactical with a folding stock. Seems one can purchase/import a folding stock for the latter, but they advised that putting one on would make the rifle restricted. As for the Leshiy, same deal only it's been re-classified by RCMP as restricted right out of the box. With these rulings leaving these airguns for official range use only, it seems sales aren't likely to be sufficient to merit continuing to import them. Which is funny, considering a video Ed put up a couple of years ago in which he was doing shot count/velocity testing on a Leshiy and having a bit of a laugh about the power limits in the UK - 12fpe, which he mocked in a good-natured way. The shot count was massive with the regulator adjusted that low. Something like 70+ extremely consistent shots from a fill. I'd love that. But no, apparently a 12fpe break-in-half single shot airgun is just too scary for the RCMP to trust Canadians to shoot them, except under supervision of a range officer...

Edgun Leshiy 1 does not have FRT, only Edgun product with FRT is Metador rifle it is prohib because of the integral sound suppressor.

Found this animated explanation of all the new features on the Leshiy 2. A whole bunch more reasons to want a Leshiy, as if any were necessary. It's semi-auto with 8-shot magazines, expandable air reservoir to a 250cc tank in the secondary position, just all kinds of useful and cool. Why can't we have what the English can have? Or Germans? I mean, those places have even more strict gun control laws than Canada, yet many enthusiasts in those and many other European countries have Leshiys. It's just not sensible at all.

As I said there is no FRT for this gun "PLEASE DO NOT BLAME THE RCMP", if you order one from abroad it will arrive and you will be able to clear it with customs. Since it cannot fire with folded stock total length is counted when unfolded same think like kaltec sub9 or folding turkish garbage guns. Only issue is the price$$$. Contact this Dutch store they will ship airguns to Canada but see the price first. I think since no sponsor is affected on this site i will post alink

as defined by the CCC not the RCMP and that places it in the Controlled Firearm realm

Someone else told me a while back it was the RCMP. But whichever letter agency, I don't much care, as it doesn't really make any difference. We're being prohibited from owning and shooting an airgun because someone in an office somewhere decided it's too scary. I've shot a Leshiy, the one 'kelly1' above was kind enough to hand to me for a few shots some months back. The thing was spot-on accurate - I was able to hit about a 4" metal plate at 50 yards 3 times out of the 4 shots standing unsupported with a scope not focused for my old eye. Loved it instantly. That's one heck of an airgun. I'd dial the power way back, as the ~25fpe it was shooting at isn't something I need, but whatever the power level I'm just not seeing the problem. With the longer Canadian barrel and no moderator it's just another airgun, and frankly a whole lot less scary in terms of potential for doing harm to others than for example the FX Impact. The laws just don't make sense.

I thought the Krale brothers stopped shipping air rifles to Canada a few years back, because too much stuff was getting returned by CBSA?

This been said, unless Edgun was to produce a F marked (sub 500 fps) version, wouldn't there be a need for a FRT since it would be classified as a non-restricted firearm?

And that Leshiy on Krale couldn't be ordered as is, since it has a built-in (legal in most of the world) lead-dust-collector

It is already made without the suppressor for few European countries. Suppressor is not an issue since this gun is offered for sale without it as well. German 7.5 Jules model shoots at about 150m/s so it is good for Canadian 500ft/s rule and it does not have integral suppressor since German rules for them are same as for Canada. As far as the FRT goes for non-restricted version of it, talk to the Lab 100% sure they will give you non-restricted for it within 5 days based on factory photos and references no need for a sample
