This past weekend i was blasting away with some friends at the range having a grand old time with my deagle. When i got home and had time to clean the pistols i noticed that the brake was missing for said deagle. The three bolts that hold it on to the end of the barrel sheared off and it must have got shot down range at some point. No luck asking the range if they found it and after an email to magnum reasearch they want 210 usd and me to ship it to them to bolt a new brake on. This is not the first issue i have had like this, the front sight rattled itself loose and ALMOST disappeared, and i have had to loctite every bolt on this thing to keep it from falling apart. I really dont want to spend close to 400 canadian (after parts, international shipping and a probable extra charge to easyout the remaining bolt pieces left in the end of the barrel) only to have the same thing happen at some point. Does anyone have any leads on a replacement or even a custom job??. Or if anyone found my brake at the shootingedge in calgary i will gladly fork over a finders fee ha ha.

for that cost i would just live without it.
In my experience, the DE does tend to rattle (loosen screws) and parts do break (extractor). If you tried to sell it, you would take a big hit on price. For the cost you quoted, I would rather invest in a new barrel with the integral muzzle break instead of buying a part to fix the 3 screw bolt on break. A sponsor here has it for $714 CDN (blued version). If you can get the bolts out, perhaps MRI sells shorter bolts that you can screw in to improve the appearance of the "muzzle end"? You may be able to sell off the old barrel to someone (as is) who has one a DE, and wants to change caliber, as the same sponsor sells those for $619 without a break. You didn't mention the caliber, but someone with a 44 DE may want a spare 50 DE replacement barrel and vice versa
Sell Old: $250-300??
Buy New barrel with integral break:$714
Offset to you $414-$464

Yeah for that price I would also live without it or buy a new barrel. I have a 44/50 DE and those thing are really finicky. If it's not one thing it'll be another, and honestly, the less parts there are to break the better, so no muzzle break or an integral break are the better option imho.

If you didn't feel enough of a difference when the break came out, it must mean it's not that effective anyway.

I wold for sure get an integrated brake for the upgrade to 50 (currently shoothin 44) but a good part of the reason i bought this DE is because i love the aesthetic of the detachable brake. Plus the new barrels are only 5 in opposed to 6 in. No big deal i know but thats the way, uh-huh uh-huh, i like it.

No kidding, i could see that much to install a brake on a barrel that didnt have one, but to just bolt a new one on to replace on that got shot off?? Warranty??

The biggest thing to me is the base price of the firearm! We're not talking about some Norinco sig clone or anything...

Its and older model and just flat black and it is still worth a mortgage payment.

I love the gun, it is literally a blast to shoot. I guess it figures the customer service would suck, they already got my money.
