Hey,

I've emailed canada@glock.us, which is the same suggested point of contact and received no response over the past two weeks.

So the question is, does anyone have a Glock contact in Canada that answers emails?

If so what has their experience been like?

I'm asking ahead of time, regarding the new Glock 44.

I understand it is having some growing pains, but I like the idea and if I end up buying one, would like to know that whenever Glock fixes the shortcomings, that it will be an easy process to get the warranty work done.

Let me save you the time and energy to all the trolls... I like Glocks, so be it...

Save me your rhetoric about your grampapys 1911 chambered in the Lord's caliber vetted by the pope himself...

I'm guessing that your "dealer" where you purchased the pistol would be your first person of contact if ??? you had a warranty issue, after that, the dealer would go to the Glock distributor in Canada for further recourse. That's about it. Glock parts and "Gen's " are constantly evolving with newer parts/designs etc. If you needed an "upgrade" down the road I'm sure they would provide that.

many years ago there was a recall on my g17 gen 2 pistol (recoil spring) police ordnance in Markham did it for me maybe try them?? not sure if they still do this

It's just strange, Glock customer service in the US is fantastic.
In Canada, the Glock sales and "dealers" which, I mean find a gunshop that doesn't sell Glock...seem elusive to provide a point of contact for parts and support in a timely manner. I feel like I'm trying to crack into an elusive pyramid scheme with no transparency.

All warranty services in Canada are crap. It's best to assume that you'll be on your own or that the repair work will take months, possibly years, depending on the problem.

Nothing "nefarious " going on at all, Rampart handles the LE/MIL side of the house(top shelf service) & the civilian side is done by the Canadian Glock Distributor, they have a dealer network etc. Sh*t simple IMO.

I have been having the same experience. Dealer service was far from satisfactory, response from Glock, nonexistent. As of now I own 3 glocks and until glock or the dealer step up and give me some good ole fashion service they will hear from one unhappy customer regularly.

You don't really have a problem, you're just extremely picky.

Right, so for us lowly peasants in civvy land....when we call 5 Glock dealers in Ontario and try and place an order for an OEM gen 5 Glock 17 trigger and bar as aspare part...why is this exceptional shi# simple network (In your opinion) unable to point me in the right direction?

If I can't even reliably order a simple replacement part, how can I have confidence in the integrity of being able to return a potentially troubled Glock 44

5 "dealers" turning you away, sounds like a "customer service" problem, well a quick Google and it looks like Nordic Marksman has about 190 parts with the trigger w/trigger bar? Hope that helps? Cheers

....

Are you saying that LE gets preferential treatment and the there customer service network is better? than the commercial side?

Absolutely, I am. But that's ok, they've earned a back door access especially considering its duty not a hobby.

That being said, thanks for the tip, hopefully they have gen 5 parts, maybe I'll buy my Glock 44 from them in hopes of good customer service in the face of any warranty issues.

That last statement does you no service what so ever, I am a grumpy grandfather, that shoots everything, So some else may give you your answer.

Rampart and Nordic work in Canada .... I've have not had any Glock issues with any OEM parts yet, have 3 and shot thousands and thousands of rounds... you need spare parts on hand? that is really too funny

Your threshold for funny must be low, no I like my Glocks stock and when I buy them off the EE with poorly installed aftermarket parts I prefer to return them to the OEM setup, to eliminate function issues. Thanks to the helpful people in this thread, I appreciate the help today.

Lot of dealers choose not to carry parts but they all can order Glock parts from Rampart, all parts are available other than those that are warranty specific ( frame & slides ) / plus some that are specifically geared towards government sales. No conspiracy it’s really dealer dependent and very easy to address - talk to your favourite or local dealer to order you the parts or go see Nordic Marksman...
