Ithaca 10ga RoadBlocker

In the mid-90's I was staying with an American friend from Cedar Rapids Iowa and we hunted daily (weather permitting). Mostly bow hunting deer but we got out a few times for Pheasant. First and only time I've hunted Ringnecks. They were a ton of fun, and mighty tasty!
Can't recall if it was my friend or one of his buddies that had a 10ga. auto. Believe it was an Ithica but not sure. I do remember being impressed with the relatively light recoil and distance it could reach out. Would love to pick a 10ga. (up in any action) to add to the stable.

I sold one to a member here last fall, with 80lbs of ammo... :)

It was a beast, but I had no use for it.

I have an SP-10 with the smoothbore rifle sight slug barrel. Also a 30” with factory and Briley tubes.

It is big medicine. Heavy gun, but 18 pellets of ‘00’ buck or a slug is decisive. Not to mention what it does on geese.

Patrick.

I won't mention my powder load but I can single load a brass 2 7/8 inch hull into my 1901 Winchester with 18 pellets of 0000 size. Someday I will shave down some plastic 10 gauge magnum shells so it can accept shells through the magazine.
