So I'm a university student and I have to work to pay my studies. I work in a fairly bad neighborhood, in the past two weeks there were two homicides with a firearm less then a street away from where i work. Today someone came to our store, asked to talk to me and threatened my life for having called the police on him the week prior. He stated that if he or his crew sees me out of work I am a dead man. What can I do in that situation? Can it be justified to bring a firearm to work? (I can get permission from our management and the owner of the store fairly easily)

Not sure where to post this, if this is the wrong section please advise me where i should post it

What's with these probing for criminality posts lately??? RCMP got nothing better to do? No??? Well, talk to me! I'll give you a few places to focus your attention on.

Why are you on here for and not calling the police? File a damn police report, and have them investigate who this ass hat is. Also get the hell out of that place, all your money should be focused on getting you out of that neighborhood, either finding a new housing situation or finding a new job ASAP.

Lol you're asking us to advocate for you to bring a firearm to work for self defense purposes? Really?

You KNOW that's not legal. Why bother bringing it up here?

Whether your employer allows it or not it isn't legal. About the only reason in this country for a civilian to have a loaded gun is if you are on a range, actually hunting, or for predator control on a farm and even then there are rules surrounding all of those. Taking a gun to work like that will just make you a criminal and even if this "crew" beats you into a coma when you wake up you are going to face federal charges. Of course if you had legal access to a gun you would know all of this since it is covered in the firearms safety course.

Record it, and have them charged. If you live in Canada, you don't live in a bad neighbourhood, you probably don't know what a bad neighbourhood looks like.

Workplace defence thread!

OP is either really naive - or looking for dirt on the community to share on the evening news.

Hate to break it to you man but legal firearms license holders are not the unstable short-fused crazies that the MSM/Wendy makes us out to be.

3 posts no feedback, nice try. Move on nothing to see/read here.
