Well the vast majority of people aren't looking for a non-steel capable pump shotgun so that should explain part of it. Double Autos are a different breed of cat that most people don't know what to think of.

Remember...most people, even at gunshows, aren't us.

Is it that sales are soft or reflection of changing markets. I know selling old pump shotguns was only a money loser for me

It is all of the above and I for one am very aware of all those factors . My point is the same guns posted on ee for 2& 3 times those prices 3 double autos for 2700$ field model 12’s 500-800$
If I would have had 6 mavtick 88’s for 300$ ea I would have sold every one of them

Remember the Ee is full of people who will bump an ad for a year.
And now I have a hankering for another double auto dammit.

The model 12's , Winchesters ?

Not surprising, actual sporting and hunting firearm sales to non vendors has been sliding annually for 4-5 years. Fewer and fewer people with more than the entrance fee, disposable income is shrinking steadily. So far, milsurps, the latest black guns and the very cheapest beginners guns seem to be still selling but mid range and upper priced guns only seem to change hands between vendors. Expect the Covid 19 hysteria to made a dent in gun show this year as well, not to mention the phone in provisions in C 71 if brought into force.

I'm sure glad I'm not in the gun selling business.

The economy has people scared of spending and holding onto the pennies they have.
The government has people worried they will ban all semis.
The eventual use of only non toxic shot has stripped old guns of value.
Profilerance of cheap effective budget bolt actions has dried up interest in used.
And just changing interest away from traditional blue color firearms.

Tis a #####.

I would buy little kids hockey gear in yard sales and sell them on consignment at a sports replay store.

Most of the guys sales were hockey and bikes. He had to keep new chinese mountain bikes in stock, $300ish. People would buy a pair of new, pot metal chinese bikes because they were new. Then throw them on top of each other in the pickup. There were nice $800 bikes selling for $300, that had scratches.

Things are just not selling. One word LIEBERALS.

Previously i would basically run reverse auctions. Just no point. Its not selling at any price, and I'm selling not giving it away.

2 years ago I could buy whatever the hell I wanted, Now I cant even afford gas money to go to the range.
Yes I hear you my buddies laugh at me when I say my world is so small all I care about is gas for my walleye boat and my truck the rest I don’t give much thought to

It wasn’t just shotguns I had a new in the box unfired browning a bolt 3 30-06 $525 and a ruger American as new 30-06 $400 not even a nibble
A few guys I know with higher end vintage leverguns did some sellin unquie guns 2000-4000$

I was there Saturday. The parking lot had more vehicles than I have ever seen. I go mostly to enjoy a day out but did drop some dollars on low cost items. I talked to more than one person there and I believe there are two thoughts. Mostly old worn out firearms and two, why pay gunshow price when one can buy the same thing at a store for very little difference. Example blr 308,s going for $850 to $1000. Why would anyone pay that unless it is rare & these are not. Savages asking price more that a new on on sale at Cabelas. One would be lucky if 10% of any firearm there was in good or better condition. As buyers most of us know gun values pretty good so asking a $150 to $300 premium isn't going to work. And my wallet was full of cash for the right deal.

Skidderman I totally agree with you on that point but as I stated the guns on my table were will below anyone’s asking price and generally saleable . I did the gun show circuit for 25 yrs every weekend been there done that. I stil work in a small retail outlet no better there

My response was not a shot at you and yes I am sure this economy plus recent day effects are a part of slow selling. Especially after today's drop in the markets.

I relize it was not a shot at me no worries. The short and long of it Trudeau has the gun community on high alert , the economy is in the toilet, the youth of the nation are following Greta . Lol we the dinosaurs are slowly becoming extinct .
