CZ Shadow 2 Owners a quick question

Just a quick question for you CZ Shadow 2 owners out there. I just picked up my Shadow from my local LGS. I assumed that the extended safety came with the pistol when purchased, my LGS said no. All videos I've seen of unboxings have had it in the case. Now of course that is YouTube so may have been in the US.

Did your pistols come with the extended safety or did you have to purchase it separate?

The early models apparently did come with the extended safety but the feature has been removed from the newer models. I am guessing it was a cost cutting measure.
 
They initially included it because it makes the gun 10% better. But then someone realized they could withhold it, sell the gun at same price, and charge $80 for it. Bumps the margin way, way up.
 
Thanks everyone. Order placed. I'm ok with the fact of spending the extra coin on the release. Got it for the $1199 price, still seeing some places selling them for $1349 and that's for the non optics ready.

prices dropped compared to when they first released. $1199 from $1359

The first ~6 months of Shadow 2 sales in Canada included the extended safety. I'm not sure exactly how long they lasted or when the transition was, but I personally know the did initially include them.
 
I was told the extended safety was included only with the first batch of Shadow 2 to come in. At least that's what the LGS told me. I bought mine last year when they had a huge sale. Then purchased the extended safety for like $50. I just prefer having a thumb rest when I grip my pistol.
 
Sadly the Orange model comes with the stupid big safety installed and no flat safety in the box. grrrrrrr
