This has come up many times people wanting to purchase Arctic sights. I was talking to Stoeger canada today. Ctr Arctic rear sights are back ordered. Rear sight assembley is 570$ msrp. Theese should also be the mk2 sight 0-500m. I didn't even ask about the new front blade sight availability.

Cuz it’s literally. Not. It’s a scam if ya ask me. Robbery. It ain’t worth that much over a 1000$ ctr or varmint model. Never.

I think I paid around 400$ for good adjustable tang sights for my 1885 Winchester six years ago. The artic also has two stage trigger which the CTR doesn't have.

It is overpriced but I'm impressed with sights on it. I have one, had some gift cards so that helped out with the price. The trigger is really good as well, not TRG 22 but very close.

So from a base CTR allow the price of the sights and trigger. Probably extra for laminate stock as well.

I still don't understand how this rifle is worth twice as much as a CTR and does the exact same thing.

A better trigger, much nicer stock, and some of the best iron sights on the market. Add a premium for the CR connection. Pretty simple.

How is a Sako worth twice a Tikka (to my mind it is, btw)? How is a Tikka worth twice a Ruger? They’ll all do the exact same thing. Certain features appeal to certain people. I would gladly pay the price of a decent scope for excellent irons.

Find me a new CTR for $1000.....

Like anything else, it’s worth exactly what someone is willing to pay. I don’t own a T3X Arctic, but it’s one of the only Tikka’s I’m interested in, primarily for the irons. I find the rest of the Tikka line-up underwhelming.

Didnt really want this to become a thread bashing the tikka arctic. Just to keep people informed.
Get out and shoot one there great rifles! Note that the Arctic has has a modified safty allowing you to override the locked bolt, letting you open the action with the safety still engaged to unload a chambered round. I believe Tikka calls it a 3 position safty. Another great feature.
The arctic is also stainless. Heres a link to a stainless t3x ctr.
