What are you going to be running the A-Tips in? I've got a 7SAUM getting built on a short action and was planning on running 180 ELDMs. I wonder if I'll be able to fit these in a mag and still get decent speed?

I bought the 190 Berger Hybrids for my 7 Rem Mag. Currently shooting 195 EOLs out of it at 2880 fps, 28" barrel, COAL about 3.48" Bighorn action. I'd like to try the A-tips in my 28 Nosler. Sounds like the 180 ELD-Ms are blowing up for a lot of guys. I haven't tried them yet myself.

Hahaha, at .422 slightly faster than a softball should give you a decent trajectory.

If we're comparing BCs, that's a G1 BC of .450 vs a G7 of .422.

I think Tikkas are 1:9.25 twist, if you guys had to pick a bullet to hunt and bang steel with in a Tikka Varmint 7mm rem mag what would it be? Id like to shoot the 175gr ELD-X for hunting and maybe try a 184 Berger F-Open for shooting steel. Whats your guys thoughts? This is my 1st 7mm cartridge so I don't know much about them.
