Powder coated bullet max velocity?

Negative.
I was using plain base bullets for my 2440 f/s adventures, and I'm hoping to do better with them next month.

Now I'm interested. Is accuracy degraded when using bullets with bases designed for gas checks?

A gas check gives a nice smooth, square base, if applied correctly.
I have had good results using g/c bullets without the check but the bases must be square and even after powder coating.
My moulds of late haven't had gas check shanks.

As Slug says ,if the base of your bullet is square & fully formed I haven't noticed any difference between GC or non GC performance from a GC based mold...really what you end up with is a sort of "boat tail" bullet that target shooters have used for years.
