Are AK style of shotgun legal in Canada

If you mean semi-automatic shotguns with detachable box magazines, such as the Typhoon F12 or Derya MK12, yes they are legal. Several site sponsors sell them.

Magazine capacity is limited to 5 rounds since it's in a centrefire semi-automatic.

AK variants are prohibited. AK is not a style. No firearms are illegal in Canada.

ALL firearms are illegal in Canada. Your exemption to this law is a valid PAL or RPAL.

Correct, but keep in mind that magazines manufactured for manual actions, but happen to fit & function in a semi auto firearm, are okay... Ex: The Uzkon AS46 pump action 10 shot mags which fit & function in the Derya MK12 semi auto... OR, AIA bolt action 308 mags that happen to fit & function in the semi auto M14...

And while I'm 'ranting', let me say that firearms licensing, classifications (prohibition/restricted/NR), magazine limits and registration are all absolutely useless. They exist to burden the law abiding, discourage participation in the Shooting Sports and eventually achieve public disarmament. It is not about Public Safety.

I was just wondering in a AK style of shotgun is legal in Canada.

No.

Anything built on the Kalashnikov design goes straight to the banned list.

And that includes Saiga/Vepr shotguns.

I will add to that Jay that I believe an even greater agenda is to obtain VOTES.

For a majority of Canadians it is illegal to own certain prohibs.
Exactly right. The firearms are legal, possession is conditional. Most people don't understand the difference between the existence of a thing, and the ownership of a thing.

Anyway, the Saiga-12 is prohibited in Canada as an AK variant:

As an aside, I find it funny how often people will prattle on about racism (usually as a straw man, for the record) but will apply a completely contradictory logic to firearms. "If it looks like X, it's designed for killing"
