MDI SLR Small Parts Kit

Hi Guy/Gals,

I managed to get on the list for a MDI SLR Receiver Set which supposedly will be delivered to me sometime in April, possibly May. I've been looking for a small parts set for the receiver (Ambi Safety, detentes, springs etc) so I can complete the receiver set but I can't seem to find anyone who sells this stuff all in one kit. If anyone can put me on to someone who sells this stuff it would greatly be appreciated. While I'm on the subject I would also appreciate some 5R barrel suggestions. I've pretty well figured out every other part I plan to install but I'm still a little unsure about which make of barrel to use. My main criteria for a barrel is durability and of course accuracy. Any info would be appreciated.

Any ar15 lower parts kit will work. Just use the parts from it that are necessary to complete the SLR.

And get an IBI barrel.

Most of the AR15 parts kits that I've seen don't come with the Ambi safety. That said, are all AR15 ambi safeties the same? Interesting, you're the second person who has suggested an IBI barrel. Got to like Canadian made... Thanks for the input

Yeah, I've seen those but they all come with a bunch of stuff that I don't need like the pistol grip and trigger parts. Thanks for the help.

Just an ambi selector and you're good to go. Probably still cheaper with shipping and exchange.

They all do the same thing. Pick one you like the price and looks of.

For the SLR, I'd get something that didn't have much of a "pointer" on it. The scalloped side of the SLR lower doesn't have the unlimited clearance of a normal AR lower.

Thanks Stevo, I will take that under advisement, now all I have to do is scroll through the 6 pages of safeties....LOL
