I noticed a previous thread was closed as per the following;

"Permission must be obtained from greentips before any group buys are organized."

Who or what is greentips and why is permission required? Just curious.

My guess would be there have been problems with group buys in the past and people got screwed.

In don't mean to be difficult and I understand the owners and moderators must exercise some control over this site but;

(a) How do we request permission for a group buy?
(b) Who would be denied permission and why?
