New Colt Canada MRR rifle spotted in the wild

Not that we're likely to ever own one, but still. The new Colt Canada MRR military rifle (C7/C8 replacement) has been spotted in Petawawa and it looks nice.

We tried the MRR too in Valcartier in august/september. The 16" and 11" version. Good upgrade that we were told to not expect before 2025
 
I know i'm late on a reply to this but just in case anyone see this, what is the barrel length on the two rifles in the picture? I have the 11.6 MRR and the barrel sticks out further then in those pictures. I thought CC made a 10" then 11.6 barrel. I didn't know there were sizes in between.

Pictured guns look like 10 inch barrels.
 
That is a prototype J cadpat. Unfortunately those MRRs were just used for the camouflage trials to see if a tan rifle is better that the standard blk/green C7/C8.

I was in 1 CMBG from 2004 to 2009 and we got C7A2/C8A2 in 2005. Are C7A1 even a thing ?
 
Hahah, My bad. Theres a few hanging around but none that should be actively used by troops. the entire fleet should be C7A2's now. But some were kept for certain reasons. or stuck in R&D Purgatory. Hell i had a Pencil Barrel C8 come into the shop not to long ago.
 
Wow I thought those were gone for a while since SFRC sold a bunch of these.

We retained our C7 with carry handle for a while for the ceremonial guard but now they have C7A2, it just doesn't look right green furniture/red uniform.

Still had A1's when I did CG in '08 and '10. I can't imagine the adjustable stock doing too well after years of drill.
