Cannot seem to find anything definitive regarding the change in "ITAR" rules, that is, the change to Dept of Commerce and elimination of permit costs for US exports.
All I can find is old "pending" info.
Anyone know the current status?
Hoping to get barrel liners at reasonable cost again.
TIA

Call Brownell's and see what they will charge... it used to be about $35 a liner and no export fee, just postage...

Was the order over the $500 limit? We bring stuff in from many US firearm supply companies and have not paid any import fees.

I emailed Krieger regarding them selling to individuals given the changes. The answer I got was that the changes in export process is still very fluid and they haven’t decided yet whether to sell to individuals or to simply continue with their existing Canadian dealer network. They said even under the new system each end user/purchaser will have to be vetted anyway so it doesn’t sound like a return to the 90’s either way.

So while Mcmillan stocks are easy now, barrels are not necessarily the same.

Wait and see I suppose.
