Normally I'd heartily agree... so damn sour these days I can't post without a disclaimer.

On a related topic, those two dead Metis were just shot in an argument...they are just as dead of course ( no less a tragedy ... unless one is Gravedancing of course).
But it sounds like a personal beef; nothing more ominous such as were alluded to.
Which is OK, we've got enough divisive stuff going on already.

This is a lesson I learned living in Asia for 3 years... made me question a lot of things I had been indoctrinated with growing up in Canada in the 90s.

Never underestimate places like Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore... they will respond, unite, and work together. They are all playing on the same team. There is a duty and responsibility there to your country and ppl.

We are more divided by every way possible in the west. We cannot bind together, and trust each other like they can. We have dozens of different teams now with different goals... We are a "post national" state apparently... with no common goals, history, religion or language even... it's not sustainable long term and I have actually been waiting for a crisis to help the average sleepy Canadian realize this fact.

while folks worry about the Trudeau gun grab and the corona virus, I am staying calm and getting my fish on :)
catching as many kokanee as I can before the ice goes off. Got 6 dozen half pint jars canned up so far and another couple canner runs to go yet.
I keep all the bigger ones for table fish or for smoking but I just don't feel like I've accomplished my winter goals if I don't get 6 to 10 dozen jars filled with kokanee every winter :)

We didn't weigh anything but;

Front row 13 x lake trout. Biggest estimated 12lbs. Last time out we had 2 that were pushing 20lbs.

Second row 12 x Inconnu (Coney). Biggest estimated 10-11lbs.

Third row right side 18 x whitefish nothing really big.

Third row left side 6 x burbot some were 4lbs-ish.

And a lonely Jack. Lonely is good, tend to tangle the net pretty good.

Ok this is my last post on this thread and you can all twist it anyway you want. The partizanship exhibited on here is beyond stupid. I don't give a flying FuK about Trudeau but I am also not blind to the BS Harper pulled. My comment was in response to Trudeau slamming that had nothing to do with the OP's original question. People conveniently disregard what prompted my post and attack me. Typical BS. Pot meets kettle if you don't know how to read. My comments were aimed at the thread derailment. Close minded people are easily led, you want to attack me go ahead, water off a duck's back. Remember you are talking to an anglo from QC, I have seen and heard every insult you can imagine. So walking to the back end of the farm today, eight white tail ( mostly does, couple fawns ) lope across the field in front of me.
And they run into a flock of about 400 Canada geese sitting in my winter wheat :mad:, putting them up.
Potentially a freezer filling morning walk.
If shtf it will be dealing with 2 legged vermin that will be the interesting part.

And the turd is fair game in any thread.
