Glock G44 - Anyone have a review?

I'm curious as well. I've seen lots of reviews out of the US but am interested in seeing what those in Canada have to say. Might have to wait a while as many indoor ranges a shut down.

If you're turned off by the Canadianize nubby barrel, beware, many site sponsors show the American version, with the barrel flush with the slide end.

i just ordered one a couple days ago so it probably wont get up to me for another week to 10 days.
i belong to a outdoor range to when it gets in im heading out with a brick to test it out.
looking forward to it!

Received mine yesterday, range is closed so ya, this thing feels like a toy, it's super lightweight. I've never held a 19 and didn't realize the grip would be so small, I'll try the large backstrap to see if it fills my hand more, but my pinky has no where to go, might have to look into mag extensions for that.
Edit added: I went ahead and installed the large backstrap, fits much better now, my trigger finger fits more natural and it makes my hand "choke up" on the grip giving my pinky room at the bottom

Has anyone taken a Glock G44 out for some shooting?

How does it operate?

Would you recommend it?

I handled one, it did not fit my hands and it felt toyish. I still have not found anything that compares to the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite as far as full size pistol! At the end of the day, if it does not fit my bigger hands it is no good to me. It does look stupid with the small 22 barrel hanging out the end..

Im really torn on the 44. Im a Glock fan, have a number of them. I handled a 44 in the States, and I could not rationalize something that light and toylike being anywhere near as capable as my Ruger Mark IV tactical, with its all metal fraime, one button take down, etc.

Didn't fit my hand well......haven't been completely satisfied with what I'm reading on the internet about it's performance.

The Ruger SR22 has really caught my attention, in fact I'm looking to buy one. No one appears to have them in stock though.

I was all over the Glock and ready to buy one for each of my older daughters, then the 22Plinkster and MAC reviews made me change my mind.......at least for now. Maybe they will work out the kinks down the road.

I love glocks and ordered one of these as soon as they came in.
The plastic slide is weird and the gun is crazy lightweight. I think it’s pretty innovative. If you could take it backpacking it would be amazing but .....Canada

We got absolutely dumped on with snow the last week but I still got my boots on and trekked into the range to try the 44.

I only shot 50rds of Federal Champion 36gr CPHP. Flawless function.

It shot a little high but once I figured out the 6 o’clock hold I was hitting the 6 inch plates on the dueling tree 8/10 times from 25yds. That’s pretty darn good for a gun I never shot before although I do have a ton of glock trigger time. I guess that’s the benefit of this model is the cross training.

Also I was able to lower the adjustable sight when I got home so hopefully it’s a little closer to my preferred combat hold.

Personally I really like this gun. It’s accurate and it fed the cheap bulk pack just fine. I’ll try some thunderbolts and some Winchester 555 next time I’m out. Now if this snow would just melt...,..
