Which would be better for an SLR build?

I've been looking at TNA's website and both of these handgaurds are recommended by them.

Anyone have Experience with the Super M-loc?

Is the Maple Ridge handguard worth the extra $150?

Pros and Cons of each?

Anyone have photos of the Super M-lok?

I have a 14" AR that came with a maple ridge Handguard on it (custom build), it's nice. Smooth, no sharp edges.

I put a tna super m lok on my m and p 15 (and cut down the front sight block)
It works. Nothing 'wrong' with it. Get the adapter wrench thing tna sells for it to torque it.
Does have a weird noise from it when racking the charging handle.
Does have some somewhat sharp edges to it. As they advertise none are super sharp, but they are somewhat sharp. You wont cut yourself, but you can tell the price difference is a thing.
Finish does seem cheap. Will scratch easy I suspect.

I got a MDI SLR receiver set on january, I grabbed a 15" maple ridge handgaurd for it.
And their 18.6" barrel.
Hoping to have the majority of the remaining parts next weekend and start the build.

My non restricted MDI SLR I will be showing off at non ranges(camping, farm, etc) want the nice Handguard. Especially considering the cost of the receiver, and the rest of the parts I'm putting on it.
My m and mp15 with its 16" barrel and my other AR with the 14" barrel are both range blasters. Goes bang bang. New shooter love them. Not looking for show off points.

I guess depends what the rest of the parts your getting are.
If your looking for a budget build, then cheap out with the super, it does everything that is needed of a free float Handguard.
If you want a nice AR, get the marple ridge. (Or a quality one)

Thanks, I appreciate the info!

For some reason this.....
Does have a weird noise from it when racking the charging handle.
...may be a deal breaker for the Super M-Lok Handgaurd.... I wouldn't want my rifle to sound/look chingy in front of all the guys.

I'm leaning towards the Maple Ridge Handgaurd.

I have a couple of them on Jr carbines, work fine for me. The finish will scratch a bit though but they go straight unlike some other Chinese handguards I've tried. I'd probably go for the new Coronus (unfortunate timing for name) model for $100 cheaper than the MRA if you wanted to save a few bucks.

I will never purchase another mra handguard again I was very unhappy with the fit and I had to spend a great deal of time milling the clamp bit down so as not wiggle off after 40 rounds.

And you didn't reach out to them for warranty, or to get a refund/exchange?

Ultimately I had to make a decision to fix it or send it back for them to look at it. I’m this case it was easier for me to modify it and use it than it was to send it back and wait a month of Sunday’s for a replacement only to be potentially disappointed again. I have the skill and tooling to sort it out so I was ok with the decision to modify it, however would I recommend a mra handguard at this point..... unfortunately no, but I do have other components made by them that I am very happy with and I will continue to purchase from them.

Odin works Rune, Ragna, or 02 lite are great. There are literally hundreds of options though. Fortis, JP, Geissele, Midwest Ind, BLKLBL, way too many others to list. Or you could just slap an A1 handguard and sight on it.

You should have a look into Midwest industries handguards.
AR15 has got a MWI, AR10 has an MRA, and the Midwest industries it's where it's at, in my opinion.
