I found a lightly used one last week online and picked it up. 223 Rem 9 twist 24" fluted barrel looked interesting. Loaded some 70gr Berger VLD with some CFE 223 and H4895. The CFE didn't work out but the H4895 did. 23gr pushing these to 2975 fps or so. Shot a few five shot groups a 100 yards over the past few days and I was pleasantly surprised. Anyone have one of these rifles? I did a search on here and not much came back.

I have the same one but in 204 and it’s a shooter. Trigger is easy to adjust. Very happy with mine but surprisingly I don’t use it a much as I thought I would. For calling I like my Browning X Bolt 204. But I did load up 100 32gr VMax for it the other day to take it out to the gopher patch very soon.

I think you’ll be pleased with it.

Agreed re the trigger. I’ve got this down safely to a pound and a half. I don’t really care for the curved shoe though.
A 204 Ruger is a great cartridge. It looks like they made them in 204/223/22-250.

Very nice rifle... it shoots too... as vanilla as .223's are, they certainly make up for it by being handy and economical.

Less trigger shoe curve. Now a bit better.
