XCR-M or Keltec RFB

Eating my own words here. XCR's are 'still' excellent rifles.

I had bad experiences with a number of Kel-Tecs that soured me. Over the last year, I got an number of Kel-Tec's including; RFB Carbine, RFB Hunter and RDB, (giving in to the bullpup preference) these are much better in every way than my previous experiences. I hope they continue to impress.

Big man, eathing is words! Good on you... not everyone can fees up like that! I also had my mind change a couple instances over time

Just weighed my XCR-M, and it was 8.8 lbs empty (I have a small rail and grip on it as well, not sure if that adds a tiny bit lol).

How is it? Reliability and accuracy? Gee I forgot it existed, I haven't heard of it in a while.

Don’t know yet. I received it a few weeks ago. Looks good. It’s s Tavor. Kind of a cross between the x95 and Tar21. More X95 in function and Tar21 in looks. Was planning on passing on the Tavor7 but 16% off, one tax... a moment of weakness.

The forend is very short. I use a shorty verticlr grip on the front as a hand backstop for my carbines. Just enough space for it to work. I actually prefer the X95 in that regard. Also sort of weird you trying to rack the charging handle when on safe is tough. Yet smooth when fire is selected.

Love the safety. Trigger seems good. Very similar in function to the X95. Ergonomics are very good. Although I still find myself trying to activate mag releases using the shooting hand thumb on both my X95 and the Tavor7. Kind of funny when I catch myself doing that. Mag release button works well for me. Just old habit from the Tar21.

I added a 3-9x Burris E1 in an ADM mount that I had on an AR308 carbine. Looks to be decent for the Tavor7.

Initial look over and tear down indicates it’s the RFB done right. Not regretting moving the RFB along. I liked the RFB but the Tavor7 is much better. Both in design and build quality. Will have to see how it shoots. My range is closed but I will be sighting in as soon as I can.
