Glock G44 - Anyone have a review?

I only shot 50rds of Federal Champion 36gr CPHP. Flawless function.

Personally I really like this gun. It’s accurate and it fed the cheap bulk pack just fine. I’ll try some thunderbolts and some Winchester 555 next time I’m out. Now if this snow would just melt...,..

From a MAC video, I believe he had issues with Federal 40gr but that eliminated most issues after he avoided them. CCI mini mag do good and from another review the Federal march stuff was under powered.

Some reviewers seemed to have issues right off the bat.
Others had zero issues at all.
I have high hopes for mine.
Some batches of the cheaper .22 ammo have serious quality control issues.
I’ve bought Remington Thunderbolts in the past and had good results. My latest batch is terrible, extremely erratic power and leaves all kinds of lead shavings in my revolver. If the Glock chokes on anything I’m predicting it’s this batch of Thunderbolts.

All day?

Non essential worker I see.

Have fun collecting your EI.

Nope, I have a cushy essential job which allows me to help lost souls like yourself whilst being paid by YOU the tax payer.

Again, I'm here all day...

Cheers!

My Glock 44 Range Report

My G44 arrived in the mail on Wednesday (pre-ordered from Bullseye London), the registration arrived on Friday, just in time for the weekend:)

I took it apart and inspected it. Today, I decided to take it to the range with no initial clean and NO lubrication to see how it would run. Here are the results in chronological order:
A) Pistol with factory sights:

CCI Mini Mag (solid):
80 rounds - zero issues

American Eagle (solid):
50 rounds - zero issues

Federal AutoMatch:
1st round - zero issues
2nd round - failure to fire, I believe this was 100% ammo related, it had a good solid primer strike, but no ignition
3-10 rounds - zero issues
11-50 rounds - zero issues

CCI Std Vel:
50 rounds - zero issues

CCI Mini Mag (solid):
10 rounds - zero issues

B) Mounted in KPOS G19 chassis with Eotech holographic sight:

CCI Mini Mag (solid):
80 rounds - zero issues

American Eagle (solid):
50 rounds - zero issues

Federal Champion (525 pack):
80 rounds - zero issues

CCI Std Vel:
50 rounds - zero issues

Federal Champion (525 pack):
10 rounds - zero issues
11th round - made a weird noise and there was a lot of smoke around the chamber - I suspect this was an out of battery discharge - the case was very smoky and slightly rough at the front edge. I took the pistol out of the chassis and inspected it, no damage and no obstruction - then I fired the remaining 9 rounds (rounds 12-20) with the pistol not in the chassis with no problems. I put the pistol back in the chassis and kept shooting:
21st-160th rounds - zero issues

Most of my shooting was plinking at reactive targets, but I shot a few groups. Here is the best group of the day, 10 rounds at 18 yards, CCI Std Vel, using the KPOS chassis and holo sight, shooting unsupported:

I'm very happy that the G44 runs so well in the KPOS chassis, the G19 does not run as reliably in the chassis, report here:

Thanks for the review.

Good review, thanks for that! I wonder if the mags from the Advantage Arms kit would work in the G44, I would definitely be interested in finding out, might just save me some dough on extra mags lol :)

I am not familiar with the Advantage Arms mags, but the Glock mags have a weird feature. The 9th and 10th rounds sit a little nose down for some reason. I thought this may cause feeding issues but it didn't seem to. I think the reason why is that the Glock mag has a little vertical tab near the nose of the top bullet that seems to act as a kind of feed ramp extension....

10 rounds loaded (slightly nose down - front vertical tab has an angled section that appears to act as a feed ramp guide/extension):

Mine showed up today. I'm happy with it. Its lighter than my other Glocks, even the Glock 48. Came with everything a Glock comes with including a Glock 44 sticker. It has interchangeable back straps and an ambi slide release which I don't remember from the description. I can't wait to take it out and put a bunch of .22 through it.

Just received mine. Stripped and cleaned. Ready to do some range time. Weekend weather looks good. Gonna see how it feels. Hoping it works as well as it looks. I like Glocks.

Got mine a couple days ago. Stripped and cleaned. I've run 200 mini mags through it so far and havent had a issue other than a few failure to hold open after last round. I quickly figured out it was just my grip. Slightly tightened my grip and 15 mags straight without a stoppage. Not even my grand power xtrim runs this well. Liking it so far.

Actually shot mine today for the first time.
Only had time for a few rounds. Used CCI mini mags. Zero issues. Ran smooth. Felt great. Trigger felt a bit tough. Im sure it will feel better. No hickups at all. Already love this plinkster. Going to place an order for more ammo.
CCI mini's it will be

Like a couple guys said it feels like a toy but there is something about that that i really like. I got it for the wife to shoot because she doesnt like the 9mm. I think it helped boost her confidence because after shooting it for a while she picked up the G17 and was shooting that. Shot 200 rds of CCI SV with two issues a failure to eject and a failure to fire. Overall it was a really fun gun to shoot and ill be taking it with me on most of trips to the range.

I went out with my buddy who just got one and one of his mags was having an issue with that tab seeming to get in the way. The other mag was flawless and we did try a few different types out.
