Well I just bought my first 5.56 Nato rifle, and a 1000 rounds of American Eagle .223 Rem 55gr FMJBT. Just wondering if this brass is any good for reloading, and what tools i would need to reload it.

Thanx Smak

Sure, it's brass..you can use it. You need a reloading kit to reload. I'd suggest gettig a RCBS kit and some 223 dies. Midsouth is pretty attractive for pricing..

Got me a bucketload of brass mostly Remmie along with the dies and bullets. Lots of people reload since it is so much fun to shoot. Will be loading a whack of it up in the next few weeks. The brass is like pretty much any other brass so go ahead and load it. It is just a regular centerfire afterall IMHO. My $0.02

Federal american eagle often uses military cases with crimped primer pockets. You might need a chamfer tool or pocket swager

Yep. I use a Sinclair pocket-uniformer (or some such) to "repair" all of my AE/NATO brass. The majority of which is Lake City NATO crimped.
