Wet/Dry Media Separator

I have a Frankford Aresnal Wet/Dry Media Separator.
Anyone have any good suggestions on how to get the black tab over the hooks without breaking the plastic tabs? There is not much stretch to the black tab.

Hey! I have the same media separator as you and know that it seems tight, but I've never felt that it would break. The rubber catch gets pulled over the plastic tabs. It may sound weird, but if you run hot water over the rubber catch, it will soften it up and go on the plastic tabs easier.

Don't try to stretch it so that both sides go over the hooks at the same time,

Its better to hook the two tabs on one side at a time, ie twist one side on and then the other.

this is how I do it as well.... Works great for me.

A little dab of light grease worked for me.
rubbed it into the rubber, givin it a little more stretch.
