The Maccabee SLR is made from 7075, same material as the MS.
The BCL coyote is 6061.
Interesting and nice to know! Might be why bcl put that metal plate to tread in duw to softer metal?

Thanks all, I kinda figured ATRS was gonna be the one. Follow-up question for a build then, what are the long lead-time items in Canada, or is everything other than the receiver pretty widely available? Just thinking if I buy a receiver set today, are there other items I should try to preorder by the end of 2020 as well vs. just plan the build when next spring?
You can build an MS / MD a little less than $1900..
I know for a fact and I bet it’s just as good or better than the Yute... lol
That was for a SS though..
It’s crazy that people are paying 1k for an almost AR15 reciver, when the real deal can be bought for $50 USD. Really shows how we get gouged in Canada. Anyways I’d stay away from the gimmick rifles ‘rdb, wk, anything bcl’ and go with the tried and true, VZ in 556, mini 14 or maybe the MR1.
I would pay $1k for a receiver set or buy an RDB again before I picked up a VZ, mini 14 or an MR1.
Same here! The rdb have ben out for a while and seem to have good reliability plus kel tec have a good customer service.
I’d rather the plastic SU 16 , over any of that crap.. lolIt’s crazy that people are paying 1k for an almost AR15 reciver, when the real deal can be bought for $50 USD. Yes there was, but you can do it with mil- spec parts ,for cheap,as well.I was just over $1800 ,using the EE and Brownells.Wants there a guy who took a used 20” Norinco AR and installed one of those receivers? That would be the cheapest way to go.
I wonder how much of a PITA it would be,to remove that take-down screw, if you cracked the head off of it ?
