Need help with pricing my SKS

Magazine exterior is still intact. Internally pinned. Still pinned to five rounds, but unmolested externally.

So, is the internal pin welded or brazed to the bottom of the magazine? If so I wonder how the weldment is not protruding through the thin bottom of the mag (not for brazing, that would be O.K.). I'm asking because I've never seen that clean method of pinning. I own 4 SKS's and either they have a regular weldment through (Franken pinning) or a small rivet through.

The stock is a heavy refurb and possibly a replacement.

Does the magazine spine look like the one on the left (original) or the one on the right (replacement)?

And does the trigger contour (compare bump and no bump at red arrows) resemble the one on the top (original) or the one on the bottom with the rebound disconnector (pointed out with pen, and a replacement upgrade)?

So I checked everything out and it looks like all the parts are original. Here are all the pictures together. https://s.amsu.ng/xkev3QNfINwN

I would like to know why some of you think the stock could be a replacement? The SN matches and the stamps of inspection are there.

That s not the original SN on the stock, it has been restamped. The original number would only be on one row and would be similar in depth to the star and date (date is missing entirely). Markings would be on top of finish, not under it.

I stand by my original estimate of $300-$350 for an unfired all original matched, maybe $400 if internally pinned.

However, as others have pointed out it is very obvious the stock is a force matched, the number is always on one row with the stamp on top of the finish not under it.

There are a couple methods they used to force match the stocks in need of replacement, one being ###X through the original number and the less obvious method of sanding off the original marking and stamping a new one underneath.

Refurb stock detracts from the value quite a bit as does the fact it has been fired.

But as the mag is internally welded to limit to 5 rounds this is one of the original imports before they started ‘Franken Pinning’ the mags to save time so that adds to the value.

I’m sticking with a low of $300 and a high of $350 (plus shipping) in this condition.

Still a very nice shooter and will make someone very happy considering BBQ paint garbage is now being sold at $250-$300.

Ultimately the value of an item is worth exactly what one man will pay for it and another man will part with it.

You could ask $400 and bump it each week, might find the right buyer after 30 times?

I would ask something like $350-$375 plus shipping and know there are going to be people trying to bring you down.

It ‘should’ sell in a reasonable amount of time for $350... but these are unprecedented times, no telling what people will pay or can’t pay, it works both ways.

Don’t take less than $300.

EDIT: I would ask to be paid in silver or USD :)

Seeing as we're on this topic, and the OP has his answer, I'm curious what an unfired, non-refurb, internally pinned, letter series would be worth these days. I had one from Wiemajack back in the day.
