Hey Guys,
Just received my Canadian made Maccabee defence AR15 upper and lower. Was surprised to see it came completely bare-bones, unlike my Stag 10 I bought this year. Anyways, I need EVERYTHING on it..... (mag release, bolt release, dust cover, buffer springs, etc). Does anyone know of a one-stop shop where i can buy canadian made components? Im looking at a canadian made IBI barrel in 223 wilde, and TriggerTech trigger, and open to suggestions on muzzle brakes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Mike

You're title is misrepresenting completely. Macabee doesnt make ar 15s or any restricted firearms. Additionally why would you be surprised by what you purchased? Did you not read what you bought before you paid for it?

You can search the various vendors, stores, sponsors and boutique listed on this forum which have very extensive parts lists. All that costs you is time.

Thanks for the criticism. This is my first .223 build, and although it may not technically be an AR15, but it sure looks like one, and fits all the AR15 parts which I'm looking for advice on. I don't need any more criticism, just advice on components.
Thanks

People on this forum are Ds. This is the worst forum for friendly people I've ever been on, going back to 2005. Sorry I can't help, just came here to read the comments and of course was not surprised.

lol- thanks. Not all are bad, I have received some good advice on here over the years. There are a few out there that are keyboard warriors, and would never talk to people to their face like they talk to them on these forums.

Ctcs have alot of stuff also. I found that I never was able to fo one stop shop. If they have everything its never the component I was looking for

It’s not so bad here. Some are strongly opinionated is all. For the most part I think members here mean well. Peoples’ feelings seem to be hurt too easily these days. Remember this a firearms forum, not a basket weaving one. Whatcha mean 2005? Were you banned and came back in 2017 with a different name??

Ive got a stag-15 lower ive been thinking of doing up. I found tigerarms also had a decent selection. Still on the fence though. I should be saving but being stuck at home meens im browsing too many storefronts lol.

RDSC has everything you need also. I would stay clear of most Canadian AR parts. And buy quality US brands. But IBI make good barrels. Maple Ridge make some ok to average parts and have most items to finish your build.

It's because there is no strong leadership on this forum, and it's mostly the blind leading the blind on here.

I've really tapered off my time on CGN, and for the past couple of years have only come on this site for the entertainment. Some of the sh*t that gets posted here is unreal, and by people that some look up to as "community leaders" due to their high post counts and/or because they are a vendor.

Anyways OP, good luck on your project. There's a big variety in muzzle devices for ar15's (compensators, flash hiders, muzzle brakes, etc), so it depends on what you want there. Though I don't think there's a lot of made in Canada solutions. Insite Arms makes muzzle brakes, not sure if they have one that's suitable for ar15 applications. ATRS may be another source, check them out, they make some gear suited for the ar15 type platforms.

I agree on quality ar parts and also ibi, the only concern with ibi or I should say thing to keep in mind is that if I am not mistaken they only offer 20 inch hbar with a .750 gas block and 19 inch medium with a .936 gas block the .936 gb is big and will not fit in all the handgard and some that it might fit it might still hot wen the barrel flexes wen firing.

I was referring to different forums of different topics that I've been on over the years. Just because it's firearms and not basket weaving doesn't mean it needs to be more rude of a forum. If it does, then it really shows the type of people firearm owners really are. It shows on here.

I don't think people are too bad here, I have ben on a car forum a long time ago, and the worst a mma forum(brutal) here is not to bad.

One thing here is some subject just comes back almost every week so some feel like a simple scroll down would anwser the question while the poster just feel like he as ben reading pages and pages and cant just find the anwser he's looking for.
