Pallas, Grizzly or Churchill

Anyone else do a Remington to Grizzly comparison and think the Grizzly's steel receiver was stronger?

Aside from some machining marks I find them to be comparable, the Grizzly’s are heavier. Mainly due to the synthetic stock but the receiver is a bit heavier by the feel of it. I should’ve weighed the bare receivers on both last time I had them appart, they are well built clones.

Ok here we got with the most important question:

Are these (Pallas, Grizzly and Churchill) all exact 870 clones ?

I have had a Churchill for 4ish years, I have fired approx 1000 rounds...high brass, low brass, target, slugs, buck...This firearm has never let me down, never failed to load or eject. I have done a full takedown cleaning once. I run a boresnake through it after shooting sessions and give it a wipe. It is nice and light and shoulders nice. I would 100% trust my life with the one I have, cant speak for all of them though. The only downfall is it doesnt have any after market furniture options. I also have a DA Kodiak, it is a bit heavier and the forestock is huge. Same reliability so far round count 250ish.

Buy one...or three. You wont regret it.

I bought the grizzly 12.5 with removable choke tubes ghost rings model form first shipment I think.
Completely stripped it down and swap everything out for wingmaster components. Gun has 3000 rounds not a single issuse.

It worked perfectly from factory but I wanted to swap it out

Can't go wrong with a grizzly

You mean the first shipment that the choke tubes & ghost rings were an option... Because I bought my Grizzly from the 2nd shipment & it had no choke tube option... Great guns either way, but the early ones had no choke tubes.

Are the new Grizzlies the same as the older ones? Thought they changed suppliers couple years ago?

Mostly the same, it’s still the same internals. The big changes on this new 2019 batch seem to be rifle sights instead of ghost ring sights, the new 12.5” is built with the shorter mag tube as the 8.5” guns. Which means the barrel ring is set back, 870 barrels are no longer able to swap onto the 12.5” models. The 14” guns are the same as the older runs, a true 870 clone, if you want one with the ability to take a Rem 870 barrel or an older gen 12.5” barrel. You’ll need to buy a 14” grizzly.

My buddy Mike's 8.5" Grizzly showed up today. First impressions are that it is rock solid. Built like a tank...

Going to head over tomorrow with some slugs and see how she goes.

Just got my grizzly. I replaced the stock and forend with the hogue 12”LOP and forend. Shaved some weight by doing that. The buttstock that came with the grizzly is really heavy for no reason. Can’t wait to shoot it!

Just to throw another one in the mix. I have a Norinco PD12-SB 14"

Dominion Arms is a store brand. They are Norinco shotguns.

Yes, I have one labeled PD12-SB on the receiver...and I have another one that says Dominion Arms Grizzly on the receiver.
