Best bang for your buck NR black rifle?

I challenge you to find me one other rifle that has this site picture.

It's unusual, but I bet with a bit of use it might not be too bad. It's a Hybrid, might work pretty good with some practice. That said it's typical of many Battle Rifles prior to WW2 and pretty much every Red Rifle I've picked up.

*Edit* Never mind...looking over your referenced thread, re MOA.

I’d love to see that breakdown considering the atrs receiver set alone is $1,200. So, for less than $300 you’re suggesting it’s reasonable to acquire an 18.6” barrel, bolt carrier group, buffer kit, lower parts kit, gas tube, gas block, charging handle, forward assist, ejection port cover, handguard, and stock? Less than $300?

I once picked up a BCM bolt carrier group and charging handle on the EE and the guy paid me $150 to take it. It was a full franken-gun on an NEA lower for $450, but like he said, I took the parts I wanted and sold the rest peice meal.

Also, the least expensive non-restricted barrel on the market, that I know of, is a Dominion Arms 20" 5.56 barrel from Canada Ammo for $99. [last I looked, which admittedly was a while ago]. The franken-gun I got had one, and I don't like selling used barrels because you can't give an honest answer about how many rounds so I used it for a bit. VERY lightweight, but it functioned fine. For a couple hundred bucks more you open a whole plethora of better options though.

As in you thought it might work ok then you saw the extensive test that was conducted and found it to be a 5 - 8 moa rifle?

Which Extensive Test would that be? How many Rifles? How many types of Ammo? Finally who did the testing? Maybe the whole purpose was to "prove" what a bad Rifle it is.

As an example you claim the WK-180C is possibly a 2 MOA Rifle, and it may very well be, or maybe just yours is.

*Edit*
So I just watched part of your extensive test. One Rifle, and one Optic is NOT and extensive test. The Scope could be pooched, or the Rifle could be a Lemon, regardless that isn't even remotely close to being "extensive".

I literally posted this thread outlining in detail how when using the cheapest ammo possible (Barnaul 55gr and 62gr) I was able to attain consistent 2-3MOA groups (And I am a shaky handed bugger)

Getting 2MOA with Federal 55gr is unquestionably possible.

I stand by my comment about the Type 81 Iron sights, I challenge you to find me one other rifle that has this site picture.

So you say.
Take away or ignore the top (guard?) on the rear leaf of the Type 81 and it is a standard leaf. Looking through the sights and focusing on the front post as one should do, and the top of the leaf does not distract one iota from a proper sight picture. I can understand where complete beginners would be confused though.

I love how you claim 2moa with the WK and then post photos of various 5 round groups that range in size from 2" to 5" across that are clearly moving in MPI from target to target.
I have a WK and calling it a 2 Moa gun with Barnal or American Eagle FMJ is dreaming in technicolor.

But whatever fantasy world you want to live in is cool with me. It just adds to the subjective circle jerk that is the primary make up of this thread.

The top bar on the T81 rear sight is to prevent finish wear to the rear sight. If the finish wears out, it can be hard to tell where you’re aiming. Those who feel the sight is horrible are just inexperienced. Stick to your red dots if you think those sights suck.

ATRS if you dont mind waiting 6 months to a year or the Maccabee SLR if you dont mind waiting a couple of months, I've used both, can say I prefer the Maccabee anyways, Although I do miss the Forward assist for no logical reason :p
