Scope debate for Stag 10

I have actually ended up ordering a Trijicon 3.5x35 ACOG with 308 BDC chevron.

The reason being, for dry fire purposes, I pushed the NXS scope forward and bridged the handguard, to simulate a cantilevered scope mount as I really love that NF scope.
I noticed that using my service rifle standing and kneeling positions, the rifle felt front heavy, wanting to dip out front.

Took my 4x32 ACOG off my AR to install on stag 10 and repeat the same exercise, weight distribution and overall weight we're greatly improved, by a large margin.
4x32 has a tight eye relief, and using an AR10 platform with backup iron sights and A2 stock, the scope was too far forward, and the TA11E has almost a full inch more of eye relief.
Never tried that trijicon, but jumped in to try it.

At this point if ever the coyote hunt pushes it past 250-300M, I'll tag a bolt action with my NXS on it for the ride.

When I was looking at specs they run on the heavy side,
But other than that many features for the price point.

Where are these made I may consider one for a future build?

Ohhh
Too bad
Kinda reflects why it’s got so many features for a low price point.
I have been anti chicom products way before the Kung Flu slash chinese flu 19.
Even in my plumbing business, 60% of what I buy and install is Chicom, and am making big changes and a big push to try to sell American/Canadian products.

That's kinda funny cause I've been the same way for years but my more "enlightened" friends always thought I was some backwoods redneck for calling them chicoms. Like it was somehow racist to call Chinese communists "Chi-coms" and to acknowledge that the PRC was an evil as #### regime. Anyways, yeah, I do my utmost not to buy stuff made there. I'm hoping that one of the end results of this damn Covid-19 bull#### is companies being forced/shamed into pulling manufacturing out of China.

I was running the NXS 2.5-10x32. It’s a light option for a decent build. It doesn’t leave much to be desired for a hunting based optic. It has the 10 MOA turrets capped... which sometimes I may wish to have OPs original choice of the 2.5-10x44 but with exposed 20 MOA turrets. I rarely long for much more magnification, I don’t want to exceed a 44mm profile, and keep the weight down. It was a solid choice. I think you would be very happy with it.

Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 Compact.

That’s what I should of got to be honest.
Now that I have a 3.5x15, I upgraded my spare bolt actions scope, and found a deal on a local used 3.5x35 ACOG, it will be that for the moment.
At least ACOGs are ultralight and allow for BUIS, which are cool features.

The ACOG is a nice idea. Let us know how it works out for your needs. I have a lighter weight upper with an aimpoint comp m4s that is used at 0-300m and is more pleasant to carry around in the field and shoot offhand, but no magnification limits my effective range. I also have a heavier upper wearing a 2.5-15 Athlon Ares BTR that is a great magnification range for what you're after, but it is a bit on the heavy side and that rifle was built mostly to fire from prone. I wouldn't enjoy carrying it all day. In theory the ACOG sounds like a great compromise.

It does, but I wouldn't expect it to be from anywhere else in that price point.
