PCP Rifle Recommendations

Be careful about taking down too low. If you have a chronograph do a shot string and you will be able to see where the velocity drops off and no to not take it beyond there. If it's regulated try to not take it below the regulator pressure.

It's worth the effort to borrow a chronograph and shoot a string of shots from max pressure downwards to see where velocity changes. Mine shoots slightly lower velocity at max fill (say roughly 3000psi), then reaches maximum velocity at say 2800 psi, then holds that velocity more or less until it hits 2200 psi. So it may have a sweet spot where it shoots best. Mine is unregulated, and that is why it behaves that way. Highest pressure provides more resistance to the hammer opening the valve as fully, and lower pressures allow the valve to open further, allowing more air in, thus boosting velocity despite pressure drop.

Yes I got a little carried away and forgot to look at the pressure.
The PCP is new to me...and got a little distracted mucking around with the scope.

Paid much more attention to things today
At 50 shots it still had 1500ish lbs.
Scope is figured out....tho the mounts are pretty fragile to bumps.
Slammed a few gophers.
All in all Im pretty happy with it.

Been looking for a PCP myself - and thinking dreamline. However, nobody has any stock :(

Check out the PCP forum at Airgun Nation and see what kinds of experiences people have with different brands of rifles before you decide on buying a rifle.

500ish rounds thru the Guantlet....
No issues, still getting 50 plus shots per charge,I think thats awesome
Pretty consistent, doesnt seem to be fussy with pellets for gopher control....havent spent much time testing different accuracies of pellets cause id rather shoot at gophers.
All in all pretty impressed for the price.
Just what I was looking for to dip into PCPs....and am still very happy I bought a compressor.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your rifle. A compressor is a definite need in my books.
