How is this NR?

Short storie receiver slant cut.....long story atrs built the modern hunter with enough difference to the ar10 to get it approve non restricted. But they where(are) really expensive, in the 4000$ range. The NEA with a "tour de force" leaning on the ar102 lineage introduce the NEA 102, it had many issues but with a starting pri e just under two grand it knee capped the Modern hunter! It was regarded buy many as well inferior but a great starting point as you could change the barrel and expect great accuracy!

The game then got change again by Stag arms and there Stag 10 rifle, I will not go into the introduction debacle that insued.... but the rifle proved solid and with not any of the problem that 5 or 6 generation of NEA/BCL 102 had. The best part was the stag was price depending on the model $1800-2200; basically douing the same thing to NEA now BCL that it did to ATRS! now bcl had to respond buly dropping the price of there 102 to around $1500. Wen with even that price drop they weren't moving BCL released there MK7 with new improve materials more standard ar10 compatibility and a supposedly way better gun! With that they effectively killed the value of all there remaining 102 they had for sale with price thanking as low as $1250 for a new gun! Il tell you I would hate to be the poor guy that paid $1000 for those vare receivers on introduction!

Now in this last chapter we have bcl who , coreect me if I am wrong sold the 102 rifle so that Troy could also churn out questionable rifles and we have IRG and 2 other compagnie that have come out with NR receivers.

Very excited to see their 5.56 here eventually. Hoping it’s approved soon!

Will not waste my money on NEA/BCL

IRG is the way to go

A forward assist on a precision rifle, so you can slam it in when your precision rifle gets too dirty to function.

Bahahaha, here we go again! I use mine all the time, never use it for jams though, who does that? And I believe Matrix Precision is the brand, kind like how Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply will also build you a hunting, target or dare I say precision rifle that’s not really all that tactical. And for the record the cheek rest on that rifle looks excellent for an AR height mount!:runaway:

How is this NR?

Because it is based on the original AR-10 receiver (not the in-name only AR-10(a... t) versions from the 90s) and not the AR-15. You can tell by the angular cut of the upper/lower by the rear takedown pin. There are other differences but that is the most obvious. The AR-10 original is what the AR-102 rifles that are non-restricted are based on as well.

Really really interested to see what sort of magic IRG will be able to do to be competitive with this one... most other 7.62 completed AR10 based rifles out there right now are floating around the $1500-2100 mark... Convince us to get this instead of the lemon BCL rifles or the overpriced Stag IRG!
